ABOUT IMPACT CUP

Impact Cup is a competition for early-stage business ideas that could contribute to a more sustainable future. We are proud to be organized in collaboration with Invest Stockholm, Stockholm University, and Södertörn University, with the goal of highlighting and supporting innovative student business ideas that can make a real impact.

Our mission is to highlight and support students’ business ideas that can make a difference in three main areas: health, environment, and society. We believe that the next generation of entrepreneurs has the power to create positive change, and we are here to help them succeed.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

To participate in Impact Cup, at least one person in your team must be an active student at Stockholm University or Södertörn University. We welcome teams of all sizes and backgrounds, as long as they have a compelling idea that could contribute to a more sustainable future.

Invest Stockholm brings expertise in business development and innovation, while Stockholm University and Södertörn University provide academic excellence and research capabilities. Together, we create an ecosystem that supports student entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into reality.

THE IMPACT CUP JOURNEY

The competition runs from February 17th to April 4th, 2025. During this time, teams can submit their business ideas through our online platform. A screening jury will review all submissions between April 7th and 17th, selecting the most promising ideas to move forward in the competition.

Selected teams will have the opportunity to work with experienced business coaches during April and May, helping them refine their ideas and prepare for the final event. The competition culminates in a final event on May 15th, where teams present their ideas to a distinguished business jury.

PRIZES AND SUPPORT

Winners in each category (Sustainable Health, Sustainable Environment, and Sustainable Society) will receive SEK 50,000 in development funds. This funding can be used to hire external expertise and take their ideas further. Additionally, winners receive valuable mentorship and guidance from our partners and network of experts.

Beyond the competition, Impact Cup provides a platform for networking with like-minded entrepreneurs, potential investors, and industry experts. Many past participants have gone on to establish successful businesses and make significant contributions to their respective fields.
